Our 41st Season “Grande Opening” Concert is scheduled for Sunday, November 10th at 8PM at the University of Miami’s Gusman Concert Hall (1314 Miller Drive, Coral Gables, FL).

The program features the WORLD PREMIERE of an original composition commissioned by GMSB for the Band entitled “MAGIC CITY MONTAGE” by the renowned composer, Robert Sheldon. It was inspired by the skyline of Miami set to music. Robert Longfield, Music Director, with special guest conductor, Gary Green, shall lead the premiere community symphonic band of South Florida, the Greater Miami Symphonic Band. The program also includes; “Procession of the Nobles” (Rimsky-Korsakov), “Third Suite for Band (Scenes de Ballet)” (Reed), “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral (from “Lohengrin”) (Wagner), “Allerseelen” (Strauss), “Symphonic Suite” (Williams), “His Honor” (Fillmore), and other classics for the enjoyment of the entire community.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students/children over 5 years old and are available at the box office on the day of the concert, or in advance online at www.GMSB.org.
